Forensic Accounting and Fraud Investigations
Forensic Accounting and Fraud Investigations - Algonquin College’s new part-time graduate program is endorsed by the Association of Certified Forensic Investigators of Canada. This fall, courses such as Introduction to Forensic Accounting and Fraud Investigations (BUS5008) and Legal Components in a Forensic Investigation (LAW5049), Computer Forensics and Data Mining (DAT0108) and Detection and Prevention of Fraud (ACC5030) will be offered both online as well as in class at the Woodroffe campus in Ottawa. A new course, Technology Fraud Investigations is offered online.
Please note that in order to register for courses in this program, students are required to submit an application form.

"Comprehensive Packet Analysis" at SANS Toronto in May

This SANS course "Comprehensive Packet analysis" is designed to give students the skills necessary to decode network traffic with open-source tools available for Unix and Windows systems. The student will learn advance pcap packet filtering methods to decode and manipulate network traffic using tcpdump and use Wireshark to extract files (pictures, documents, executable, etc) from datastream for malware recovery, incident response and forensics analysis.
